Rinse the quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer and then add it to a microwave-safe bowl along with the water, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 10 minutes.
Let the quinoa sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors, then fluff with a fork and serve warm, topped with your favorite fruit and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Note: You can also make this recipe on the stovetop by following the instructions in the first two steps, but instead of microwaving the quinoa, bring it to a boil in a saucepan over high heat and then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the quinoa is cooked.
