Quinoa Diet to lose FAT

Today i am going to share you Quinoa soup recipe which i made today .

 

Quinoa is highly recommended for vegetarians due to its high protein content. It is also gluten free and can be safely given to people of all ages.

These days quinoa is sold in the form of flour and grains.

 

Quinoa like the Quinoa roti, Quinoa Idli, Quinoa Dosa, Quinoa Upma etc.

I will share my recipes with you one by one .

 

Recipe which i am going to sharing today is a simple soup which is perfect . It's a light meal .  It has protein and vegetables all in one .

I suggest you to make it and enjoy.

 

Ingredients

Quinoa -1/2 cup

Onion - 1 small (chopped)

Garlic – 1 clove (minced)

Mixed Vegetables – 1.5 cups (chopped, you can use green peas, celery, carrots, mushrooms etc.) Green Chilies – 1 Lemon Juice – 1 tsp Stock/water – 4 cups Crushed Black Pepper – ¼ tsp Salt – to taste Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped) Olive Oil – 1 tsp

 

Method

1-Quick rinse the Queens Quinoa

2-Chop all the vegetables in uniform small pieces.

3-Take the quinoa, onion, garlic, vegetables, green chili, salt and water/stock in a deep pan. You can use store bought stock or use

bouillon cubes with water or use just plain         water.

4-Cook for about 20 minutes till the quinoa and vegetables are cooked soft.

   Add the lemon juice, pepper powder, finely chopped Coriander leaves and a drizzle of olive oil. Switch off.

Monday to Saturday

Breakfast  - Quinoa soup

Mid-Morning–  2 Rotis or 2 Bread slices with omelette.

Lunch – 1 cup Rice or 3 Chapattis o with 1 cup of Vegetables and some protein like chicken, fish, soya or mushroom.

Evening Snack – Green Tea with ½ cup of healthy snacks Dinner – Soup or Salad or Pasta or 2 of any Roti varieties Sundays, Do not bother much about the calorie count, Eat what you love on that day .
